Mexico is well known as the best place in the world for cave diving and for good reason, we have the largest underwater cave systems in the world, with over 1,000 km explored. These cave systems form impressive and complex underwater passages of all shapes and sizes that extend and interconnect along the entire Yucatan Peninsula.

The Cavern Diver course is a safety and awareness course aimed at open water sport divers. The Cavern Diver course helps or enables students to: avoid mistakes that lead to cave diving fatalities, educate fellow divers about the risks and hazards inherent in cavern and cave diving, improve critical diving skills such as buoyant breathing, trim, propulsion and awareness.

The TDI Intro to Tech course introduces students to the world of technical diving. This course is designed as an introductory course to the TDI Advanced Nitrox course and the TDI Decompression Procedures Course. The objective of this course is to familiarize students with technical equipment configurations, to enhance open water diving skills (such as buoyancy, trim, and situational awareness), and to introduce students to advanced gas planning techniques within a no-decompression context.

The Full Cave Diver certification is based on the knowledge, skills and experience students gain during the Introduction to Cave.

In addition to ensuring that students have maintained knowledge and competency in the skills, the cave diver course focuses on: Complex cave navigation involving jumps, “T ‘s, gaps and the theory behind complex circuits and traverses (those requiring the establishment of a halfway or ’point of no return”). If applicable, as students can apply their open water decompression training to caves.

The Refresh program is geared towards divers who have been inactive for six months or more and wish to brush up on their knowledge, procedures and skills. Even if you are an experienced diver but have had a long break, a refresher is recommended to refresh your skills.

Technical divers can also enjoy Deco dives throughout the area, especially on some of the deep coral walls that the Caribbean has to offer, where the water remains relatively warm and there is the possibility of great wildlife encounters. We are fortunate to have a great diversity of dive sites depending on difficulty and technical certification.
